"WOODY AND MR. C"
In the Mutt Kingdom, Woody & Mr. C rule,
Two unlikely friends, who are totally cool.
Mr. C lived in the alleys of the city,
Woody was a country dog all on his own.
The tale of how they found each other,
Is one that will now be known.
One afternoon during Mr. C’s nap,
He slipped into a deep garbage dump.
He knew he was in big trouble,
When he felt the movement and bumps.
When the garbage truck got to the landfill,
He was poured out on the pile.
Covered in dirt, with a broken leg,
He crawled out anyway, in cool cat style.
Suddenly he heard a loud growl,
He turned to see quite a sight.
Not knowing he was on Woody’s turf,
He was in no shape for a fight.
But Woody saw his broken leg
And jumped in to help him out.
Woody nursed him back to health
And their bond was set, no doubt.
For a time they stayed in Woody’s cave,
And felt very secure and warm,
For they shared Woody’s special blanket,
That helped them weather the storms.
Mr. C. told Woody of the city,
So they set out to explore.
They are still together today,
